It's been one week since we started our Lenten journey! How are you doing? Sometimes we can get so caught up in "all the things" of Lent and become overwhelmed. Let's refocus and put our eyes on what is the most important part of our Lenten journey - deepening our relationship with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. NOTHING else is more important. Jesus wants us to open up our hearts to him. He is always there, ready and waiting, to listen to us, to forgive us, to speak to us, and above all to love us with a perfect, unconditional love. He wants nothing more. All we need to do is to trust him and allow him in.  I know, it's easier said than done but clear out all of the distractions and focus on the little, simple things that help you grow closer to Jesus. In fact, say a prayer and ask him to help you.

Dear Jesus, 
I want nothing more than to grow 
closer to you.
Help me to refocus my Lenten journey.
Help me to open my heart to you and 
to trust in you.
