  • Weekly Novena to Our Mother of Perpetual Help – The Eucharist is exposed on the altar at 7:00pm and confessions are heard from 7-7:30pm. The novena prayers and benediction begin at about 7:30pm until about 8:00pm. Please consider attending and bringing your needs and prayers to the attention of the Blessed Mother who always hears our prayers and desires to lead us to the loving heart of her son, Jesus Christ.
  •  The Annual White Mass will be celebrated on February 19, 2017, by Bishop David Zubik at 12:00 pm, at St. Paul’s Cathedral offered for all Health Care Professionals. A reception will be held immediately following the Mass in Synod Hall, adjacent to the Cathedral. All Health Care Professionals are invited to attend.

  • Our monthly afternoon of Eucharistic Adoration is being held on February 26, 2017.  On the last Sunday of each month, we expose the Blessed Sacrament at the close of the 12:00 Noon Mass and have adoration from 1 pm until 5 pm.  Solemn Vespers with the Cathedral Schola and Benediction take place at 5 pm.  I encourage you to stop in and pray before the Blessed Sacrament.  There are great fruits that come to all who make a vigil of prayer in the presence of Jesus in the Eucharist.  It is important that our children and young people learn the importance of this prayer and engage in devotion to the Holy Eucharist.  Please join us for prayer and worship.

  •  The Family Faith Formation program will meet again on Sunday, February 26.  We will be reflecting on the season of Lent and our call to prayer, fasting and acts of kindness as part of our Lenten discipline as we walk the way of the Cross with Jesus.  PLEASE NOTE THAT WE HAVE MADE A CHANGE TO THE SCHEDULE FOR THE REST OF OUR MEETINGS IN 2017.  WE INVITE OUR FAMILIES TO JOIN US IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING THE 10:00 AM Mass in the parish social hall where we will have donuts, juice and refreshments, and begin at 11:30 and conclude by 12:45 pm.  We invite all children in grades K through 8 to join us, along with their parents, for a morning of prayer, faith formation and family sharing.  All families of students in Catholic schools, CCD programs, or homeschooling are invited to come and to participate in a family faith gathering that brings our parish families together and helps to build up our shared commitment to Jesus Christ and his Church.  Making families holy and faith-filled is a task we all share.  We gather on Sunday mornings in the parish social hall immediately after the 10 am Mass for juice, coffee and donuts. The program begins at 11:30 am and concludes at 12:45 pm. Please come and join us!  Please note the schedule for the rest of the year:  FEBRUARY 26 and APRIL 30.  We ask our parents to mark these dates on their home calendar.

  • WINE, CHEESE AND THE GOSPEL – SPRING 2017 SESSION!  Father Stubna will host the first gathering of Spring 2017 session of Wine, Cheese and the Gospel on Monday evening, February 27.  With Lent beginning on March 1, Father Stubna will look at the Church’s Lenten practices and devotions.  What is the season of Lent all about?  What are our Lenten devotions and practices and how do they contribute to preparing us for the celebration of Easter?  Please come and join us for a great discussion.  The evening begins with wine and cheese at 6:30 pm and is followed by a presentation and discussion that begins at 7 pm and concludes around 8 pm. All adults and young adults of the parish are invited to attend – it is a great way for us to continue our faith formation and learn about our Catholic faith.  All are welcome!

  • Ash Wednesday is March 1, 2017.  Ashes will be distributed at each of the four Masses on Ash Wednesday, March 1. Masses will be celebrated at 6:45 am, 8:15 am, 12:05 pm and at 6:00 pm (with Bishop Zubik presiding).  Ashes are given to us on that day as a sign of our identity as Christians.  We are physically marked with the sign of the Cross which invites us to a deeper communion with Jesus Christ through the 40 days of Lent.  We receive those ashes with one of two formulas:  “Remember you are dust, and to dust you will return” or “Repent and believe in the Gospel.”  The receiving of ashes is a reminder to us of our human sinfulness and the need we have for God’s grace.  Lent calls us to interior conversion of heart.
